(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's volleyball split in a tri-match on Saturday at St. Lawrence University. The Roos beat Green Mountain College 3-0 (31-29, 30-27, 30-21) and lost to St. Lawrence 3-0 (14-30, 15-30, 21-30).

Alicia Abbey (Mayville, N.Y.) had 14 kills and two aces and Brittany Hains (Mexico, N.Y.) distributed 40 assists in the win over Green Mountain. Valerie Bova (Central Square, N.Y.) (right) added 13 kills, two aces and a block. Nicole Rishe (Evans Mills, N.Y.) contributed six kills and Sharlie McLean (Massena, N.Y.) had three.

In the match against SLU, Hains recorded 19 assists. Abbey had seven kills and two aces. Bova added five kills and four digs. McLean had four kills and Rishe had two.
