Small logo (Columbia, Missouri)- The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team lost both their matches on day one of pool play at the 2007 NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship at Columbia College in Missouri. The Roos (16-9) fell to No.1 Fresno Pacific University (Calif.) 11-30, 3-30 and 16-30 in the morning and then lost to Northwestern College (Iowa) 12-30, 12-30 and 7-30 in the afternoon.

Against Fresno Pacific, the No. 1 team in the country, Val Bova (Central Square, N.Y.) led the Roos with five digs and two kills. Alicia Abbey (Mayville, N.Y.) added three kills. Brittany Hains (Mexico, N.Y.) had six assists and Nicole Rishe (Evans Mills, N.Y.) and Sharlie McLean (Massena, N.Y.) each had one kill apiece.

Rishe had eight digs and two kills to lead the Roos against Northwestern. Abbey added four digs, two kills and an ace. Hains recorded six assists and four digs. Bova had six digs. Sarah Martin (Canton, N.Y.) contributed five digs and two kills and McLean chipped in with two kills.

The Roos wrap up pool play on Thursday morning when they play Westminster College (Utah) at 11:15.
