Small logo (Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team stayed undefeated after they captured two hard-fought 3-1 wins over the University of Maine at Machias at St. Lawrence University. The Roos (3-0 Sunrise Conference, 5-0 overall) won the first match 33-31, 30-27, 26-30, 30-24 and the second match 27-30, 32-30, 30-23, 30-25.

In the first match Alicia Abbey (Mayville, N.Y.) led SUNY Canton with a career-high 24 kills, five assists and three aces. Nicole Rishe (Evans Mills, N.Y.) had 15 kills, six aces and three digs. Brittany Hains (Mexico, N.Y.) registered 41 assists. Sharlie McLean (Massena, N.Y.) added 10 kills and two blocks and Valerie Bova (Central Square, N.Y.) chipped in with three kills, three aces and three digs.

In the second match Abbey again led the way with 10 aces and seven kills. Hains collected 24 assists. Bova had 12 kills. Rishe added 10 kills and three aces and McLean added eight kills, six aces and four digs.
