Outlook Capsule: The Kangaroos will be led by first-year head coach Mary Helak, who was an all-conference volleyball and softball player at Medaille College in Buffalo…The Roos have five returing players led by junior Alicia Abbey who led the Kangaroos in kills (1.8) and added 1.9 assists per game along with 19 aces and a .870 serve percentage…Sophomore Nicole Rishe led the team in digs (1.5) and was second in kills (1.6)…Junior Sharlie McLean recorded a team-high 28 blocks and 20 aces and contributed 1.4 kills per game...Junior Valerie Bova played two years ago for SUNY Canton and led the team in assists (2.9) and service aces (53) and also contributed 2.2 kills and 0.8 digs per game with a .903 serve percentage...The Roos kick off their season on Sunday, Sept. 16 against Sunrise Conference opponent Vermont Technical College.
