Steps for BPI Certification
- Review the Policies & Procedures for BPI Certification
- Review the BPI Standards for each certification being considered.
- Determine if training is needed prior to attempting certification. BPI does not require nor administer training. Candidates seeking training may find BPI Recognized Training listed at www.bpi.org. It is not a requirement to use BPI Recognized Training.
- Submit a candidate application form:
- First time candidates register for the 100 question written examination. In addition to the written examination, candidates will be required to pass a field examination.
- Subsequent BPI certification attempts register for the 50 question written examination. In addition to the written examination, candidates will be required to pass a field examination
- EXAMINATION SESSION REQUEST FORM
- Schedule your exam(s) with SUNY Canton a BPI Affiliate or with BPI directly. Complete the applicable exams with a grade of 70% or higher to pass.
Once you start the process, you have one year to complete it before you will be required to start over as a new candidate.
