  • Sterling Research Group, Rensselaer, NY, part-time March 1991-August 1991, Environmental Consultant Assisted the director of Environmental Health and Safety with chemical audits, wastewater studies, and environmental permitting.
  • McClaren-Hart Associates, Albany, NY, 1989-1991, Environmental Consultant/Assistant Project Manager Conducted Phase I environmental audits.  Supervised minor remediation projects – leaking fuel storage tanks, for example.  Management of hazardous materials. Certified – OSHA 40 hour haz mat training.
  • Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA, 1981-1986, Nuclear Shift Test Engineer As STE, responsible for maintaining the reactor plant in a safe condition during all phases of repair and reactivation, conducted post-repair acceptance tests on mechanical and electrical systems, ensure personnel were provided a safe environment to work in, supervised initial start-up of the reactor, and was responsible for casualty control and incident response in the event of trouble.
