Cyberstalking is defined as threatening behavior or unwanted advances directed at another using the Internet and other forms of online and computer communications
- New York law specifically prohibits harassing electronic, computer or e-mail communications
- In 2005 Congress extended the Federal interstate stalking statute to include cyberstalking (18 U.S.C. §2261 A).
