DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Canino School of Engineering Technology at SUNY Canton invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Civil, Environmental and Construction Technology beginning the Fall 2013 semester. Responsibilities include teaching and advising in Civil Engineering Technology and Construction Technology Management programs and bachelors of Civil and Environmental Technology program, participation in college governance, support of school and college services, program assessment and development, student recruitment, and advising student organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum qualifications are a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of three years civil-related industrial experience. Consideration will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree, professional engineer’s (PE) license, and extensive experience, however award of tenure will be conditional upon achievement of the master’s.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery of oral and written communication in English, enthusiasm for teaching and an ability to engage an audience of students.
- Preferred qualifications include extensive experience in structural design, site development and project management, advanced degree in a related field, PE license in NYS and prior teaching experience.
