Tenure Track Faculty – Chemistry




Commensurate with Credentials and Experience


The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Chemistry, to begin August 2014. The primary teaching responsibility will be Introduction to Chemistry for health majors in addition to potential opportunities to teach College Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. An ability to teach laboratory sections in other science courses, such as biology, offered by the Science Department, will be considered an asset.


Successful candidates must possess a PhD in Chemistry or a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and a PhD in a related discipline (A.B.D. considered if within 12 months of defense). Candidates with prior teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching are preferred.
