DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, not-for-profit Corporation, seeks a Director for the North Country EMS Program Agency. The Director is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily operation of the North Country EMS Program Agency serving Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties. Insures completion of the NYS Dept. of Health contract deliverables. Provide administrative support to the North Country REMSCO, REMAC and System Medical Director. Daily contacts with fire departments, rescue squad, and ambulance agencies throughout the tri-county region. Some evening and weekend commitments with extensive travel within the tri-county region required. The Director will work from the NCEMS Office located in Wicks Hall on the SUNY Canton Campus. The Director reports directly to the Deputy Chief of University Police.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a high school diploma and certification as a Department of Health EMT in critical care, experience in EMS management and administration, CQI/CME programs, knowledge of NYS EMS system, and working with volunteer EMS agencies. Certification as a Department of Health EMT paramedic and 2-4 years experience in EMS management and administration preferred. Full benefit package.
