The School of Business and Liberal Arts at SUNY Canton invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor to begin in August 2018.
The Human Services faculty position will serve an undergraduate curriculum focused on applications of psychology and human services. Candidates will be broadly trained in behavioral sciences and human services and have experience in the helping professions.

Responsibilities: A 4/4 teaching load which may include a combination of face-to-face and online courses. Teaching assignments will vary based on expertise and may include: Introduction to Human Services, Working in Human Services Agencies, Crisis Interventions, Group Leadership, Professional Ethics, Care Coordination, Documentation, and Referral Skills, and Applied Behavior Analysis.

Required Qualifications: Candidates with advanced degrees in disciplines related to Human Services [MSW, DSW, Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.] will be considered.

ABD candidates with current matriculation, and candidates with a Master’s degree in disciplines related to Human Services [Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, etc.] will be considered.

Licensure in Social Work and/or Mental Health Counseling, and CASAC or ABAP certification, with professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The ability to teach additional courses in addictions counseling is preferred. Professional experience and college level teaching preferred.
