DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

The Canino School of Engineering Technology at SUNY Canton is seeking an Instructional Support Assistant to serve the Graphic and Multimedia Design Program while providing support for Windows /Mac iOS for faculty and students. The position will report to the Dean of the Canino School of Engineering Technology while assisting faculty members from these programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting in a combination PC/Mac lab environment, providing support for Adobe Creative Cloud applications, maintaining large-format printers, 3D printers, and DSLR cameras and studio equipment, inventory and purchasing, set-up and maintenance of classroom and laboratory projects, and supervision of student workers and lab/classroom space as well as other duties assigned by the Dean. This position would be a 12-month appointment, which is renewable pending satisfactory performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in design, IT or related field. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications is required. Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred. The successful candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following areas: iOS integration into network setting, 3D printing, videography/animation, or virtual/augmented/mixed reality applications and environments.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
