DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

SUNY Canton invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Transfer Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage credit evaluations which includes data entry. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, recruitment of prospective students, working with students through all phases of recruitment, work as part of an admissions team to achieve the college’s enrollment goals, and handle other responsibilities as assigned. Limited travel will be required and willingness to keep a flexible working schedule. Excellent Benefit Package including healthcare, paid vacation, and tuition assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with potential students, families, and high school and college teachers and counselors. Ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be adaptable, detail oriented, accurate, able to quickly learn new technology, and able to gather data.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree; Experience working with transfer students, non-traditional, and adult students will be viewed favorably as well as knowledge of admissions practices.  Experience traveling and working with students with multicultural or international backgrounds.  Strong knowledge base of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
