Admissions Counselor SL-2




Commensurate with Credentials and Experience


SUNY Canton invites applications for the position of Admissions Counselor. This will be a 10-month temporary position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment of prospective students, work with students and parents through all phases of recruitment from inquiry through enrollment, work as part of an admissions team to achieve the college’s enrollment goals, and handle other responsibilities as assigned. The position requires extensive overnight travel and a willingness to keep a flexible work schedule. Excellent Benefit Package including healthcare, paid vacation, and tuition assistance.


A Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with potential students, families, and high school and college teachers and counselors. Ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be adaptable, detail oriented, accurate, able to quickly learn new technology, and able to gather data.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience traveling and working with students with multicultural backgrounds. Strong knowledge base of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
