Liberty Partnerships Program/Research Foundation is seeking an Education Specialist to fill a part-time 30 hour per week (15 hours per week in each school district) position.  This position is for a 38-week duration and includes benefits. The Education Specialist determines the needs of the students and implements services to assist the student with graduation and college/workforce entry.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  tutoring/monitoring academic progress of students, coordinating tutor project at school, developing and supervising mentored work activities, organizing enrichment activities including college visits. Attending professional development meetings.


Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred). Experience assisting students required.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.

All appointments are contingent upon continued receipt of State funding and renewal of appointment is subject to the Research Foundation of SUNY policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of annual funding.
