DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

SUNY Canton invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Communication and Enrollment Technologies. The two major responsibilities are technology and communication management for the admissions office and admissions representative for SUNY Canton’s scholarship committee to include awarding and budget management. This individual will take the lead for all technology implementation for the Admission Office, providing expertise and supporting current and future technology tools. This position will implement and maintain software applications; develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for software, data import/export integrity related to the Customer Relations Management (CRM) and ancillary software, and electronic communication plans; attend Scholarship Committee meetings, maintain a budget, and participate in the awarding process. The Technology Support Assistant should possess strong analytical and project management skills that will allow them to participate in selection processes for new software solutions and to continually research and develop improvements in business processes and the use of technology for the Admissions office. This position will be responsible for other duties and responsibilities as assigned that are typical of an admissions office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology/MIS or related field; or an associate's degree in computer science/information technology/MIS or related field and at least one year of relevant experience; or bachelor's/associate's in another field and one to three years of admissions or project management experience
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate, consult and interact with a broad audience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of admissions operations or systems management experience in higher education
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Slate, Academic Works, Argos, Office 365, Mongoose or other higher education applications
  • Experience with vendor and budget management
  • Experience training/supporting end users
