Personal Leave
Personal leave is intended to provide employees with time off with
pay to attend to matters of personal business that cannot be reasonably attended to outside of normal work hours. Personal leave might be used for religious observances, appointments with bank officers or attorneys, or to receive other services that are normally available only in conflict with usual working hours.
Members of the CSEA, Council 82, PEF and M/C (Classified) bargaining units are credited with five days of personal leave per year on their anniversary date. Accruals must be used within the year; accumulations will not carry over to the next year. Although there is no specific requirement for use, absences require a supervisor's prior approval.
Faculty, professional and management staff do not receive personal leave.
