awarded promotions or recognized for excelling within their jobs.
Mary Ann Caswell, an Associate Professor in the Nursing program, was presented with her hood and mugged for completing her doctorate degree.
Chelsea Chase was promoted to Admissions Advisor.
John Conklin was presented with an academic hood and a mug in recognition of completing his doctorate.
Farren Davis, an Academic Counselor in the Academic Support Services office was mugged for creating a program that helps with student retention.
Donalee Eggleston was recognized during her retirement from her position as Secretary 2 in the Dean of Science, Health, and Criminal Justice’s office.
Dr. Edouard Mafoua, and Dr. Charles Fenner were both promoted to Associate Professor in the School of Business and Liberal Arts.
Daniel Gagliardi was promoted to Associate Professor in the Canino School of Engineering Technology.
Diane Muehl was promoted to Associate Professor in the School of Business and Liberal Arts. Muehl teaches Social Sciences and oversees the College’s Drop-in advising center.
Bryan Parker was promoted to Admissions Advisor.
Ronald Tavernier was promoted to Assistant Professor, Mary Ann Caswell was promoted to Associate Professor, and Robert Edwards was promoted to Professor in the School of Health, Science, and Criminal Justice.
Ryan Young, Debra Backus, and Brenda Worley were all mugged for their achievements with the National League for Nursing.
Lawretta Ononye was promoted to Associate Professor in the Canino School of Engineering Technology.
James Sheppard, a Student Counselor, Tina Flanagan, a Calculations Clerk 2, Memorie Shampine, Agency Service Representative, and Martin Clark-Stone, Associate Professor in the Canino School of Engineering Technology, were all mugged for their outstanding volunteer work operating the Ropes Course Challenge.
Colleen Stone was awarded emeritus status after retiring from her
Instructional Support Associate position in the electrical engineering technology program.
Beth Martin, a Purchasing Manager in the SUNY Canton Business Office Shawn Miller Assistant to VP for Administrative Services were both mugged for earning their bachelor’s degrees.
Betty Connolly, Director of Human Resources, was mugged for earning her master’s degree.
Joe Briggs, Highway Equipment Operator, was mugged for his continuing commitment to the Employee Assistance Program at the College. Briggs has worked with the program for five years and provided support and referrals to numerous employees.
Sophia Theodore was promoted to Assistant Professor of Veterinary Services Management and Peggy LaFrance was promoted to Associate Professor of Nursing.
Patrick Casselman was promoted to Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
Janitor Christopher Eggleston was mugged for retrieving a lost item for a student.
The entire staff of Green Thumb Workers were mugged for their outstanding and continued service to the college.
Jerry J. Bartlett was promoted to Staff Associate in the Online Learning department and Molly A. Mott was promoted to Dean of Academic Services and Retention.
Jennifer McDonald was promoted to Associate Professor in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Feng Hong was promoted to Associate Professor of Physics in the Canino School of Engineering Technology.
Stephen E. Frempong was promoted to Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology in the Canino School of Engineering Technology.
Rosanna Moser received emerita status after retiring as a professor in the Office Technology program.
Four faculty members from the School of Science, Health & Criminal Justice were recently promoted. Lisa E. Colbert was promoted to Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, William J. Fassinger was promoted to Associate Professor of Criminal Investigation, Susan E. Buckley was promoted to Visiting Assistant Professor of Criminal Investigation, and Brian K. Harte was promoted to Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice.
Human resources staff presented four faculty members in the School of Business and Liberal Studies with congratulatory balloons in honor of their promotions. Anthony Signorelli was promoted to Assistant Professor of Health Care Management, Karen M. Spellacy was promoted to Professor of Economics, Marcellina K. Hamilton was promoted to Associate Professor of Business Administration, and Charles R. Fenner was promoted to Associate Professor of Business and Public Administration.
Christine Scuderi, Athletic Trainer, was mugged for receiving her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Management from SUNY Potsdam.
Three Admissions staff members were presented balloons in honor of their recent promotions. Jonathan D. Kent was promoted to Director of Admissions, John M. Kennedy was promoted to Assistant Director of Admissions, and Cori L. Wilhelm was promoted to Admissions Advisor.
Matthew G. Metcalf, Assistant Director of Athletics, was mugged for completing his master’s degree in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy.
Peggy A. LaFrance was mugged for earning her Doctorate in Education from Walden University. LaFrance also received her ceremonial hood, denoting her advanced degree.
Nicole A. Heldt was promoted to Associate Professor of Biology in the School of Science Health and Public Service.
Thomas W. Duda was awarded Emeritus Status upon his retirement. Duda is still instructing several courses part time in the business department at the college.

Matthew D. Bullwinkel was promoted to Associate Professor in the Alternative and Renewable Energy Systems program.

Nellie Lucas was promoted to Clerk 2 in the SUNY Canton Admissions Office.
Patrick LaPierre, Social Sciences
Instructor, was mugged for earning his Doctorate of Philosophy degree in History
through the University of Rochester. LaPierre also received his ceremonial
hood, denoting his advanced degree.
Cindy Daniels, Associate Professor
of Humanities, was mugged for completing her Doctorate of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary
Studies, Art and Sciences with Specialization in American Literature, through
Union Institute and University. Daniels also received her ceremonial hood,
denoting her advanced degree.

Jerry Bartlett, Online Learning Technician,
was mugged for excelling in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Online
Learning.

Tina Flanagan, Calculations Clerk
2, and Terry Waldruff, Senior Staff Assistant, were mugged for implementation
of an online procurement system in the Business Office.

Neil Haney was promoted to Instructional Support Associate. Haney works with students in the Motorsports Performance and Repair program.

Christopher Hastings was promoted
to Staff Assistant. Hastings supervises the College’s Mail Room at the Physical
Plant.

Jennifer Kelsey was promoted to Keyboard Specialist 2 in the Student Activities Office.

Colin Mackey was promoted to Senior Staff Assistant in the Administrative Services Office.

Maureen Maiocco was promoted to Associate Professor. Maiocco is also the Director of the Early Childhood program.

Julie Parkman was promoted to Staff
Associate in the Alumni and Development Office. Parkman is the Associate Director
of Advancement.

Wilfred Rowledge was mugged for earning his journeyman’s certification. Rowledge is one of the college’s electricians at the Physical Plant.

Beth Acton was promoted to
Assistant Professor in the School of Science, Health and Professional
Studies.

Victoria Ashley was mugged
for earning her bachelor's degree. Ashley works in the student service
center.

Jerry Bartlett was promoted
to On-Line Learning Technician in the Center for Excellence in Teaching
and Online Learning.

Stacey Basford was mugged
for earning her second associate's degree.

Courtney Battista was mugged
for receiving her Master's degree.

Denise Burrows was promoted
to Payroll Examiner 1 in the Business Office. Burrows was also mugged
for earning earning her associate’s degree and State Comptroller Payroll
Award.

Christopher Eggleston was
promoted to Janitor. Eggleston is a Cooper Service employee.

Steve Fetcie was promoted
to Infrastructure Manager in the Information Services Department.

Tina Flanagan was promoted
to Calculations Clerk 2 in the Business Office.

Renee Campbell was promoted
to she was promoted to Secretary 1
in the School of Business and Public Service.

Sheila Mehaffy and Janice
Johnson from the Information Services Department were mugged for earning
their bachelor's degrees.

Veigh Mehan Lee, Coordinator
of Accommodative and Tutoring Services was mugged for earning her master’s
degree.

Steven Livernois was promoted
to Deputy Chief of University Police.

Edouard Mafoua was promoted
to Associate Professor in the School of Business and Public Service.

Chris Marquart was promoted
to Assistant Director of Residence Life.

Shawn Miller was promoted
to Assistant to the Vice President for Administrative Services.

Alice Reed and Cindy Daniels
were promoted to Assistant Professor. Both work within the School of
Liberal Studies.

Jan Robinson and Steven Gilbert
were both promoted to Associate Professor in the School of Business
and Public Service.

Nancy Rowledge was promoted
to Personnel Associate in the Human Resources Department.

Clayton Shampine was promoted
to Janitor and Walter Holmes was promoted to Head Janitor. Both are
Cooper Service employees.

Dr. Kennedy awarded the entire
Student Services department with mugs in celebration of continuing
excellence. This was the largest group mugging event in college history.
