Sunday, August 11th @ 10AM – Student email cuts over to Microsoft Office 365
Throughout the summer a project has been underway to migrate your email from Icewarp to Microsoft’s hosted Office 365 solution. The email system will change, but your email address will stay the same.
Office 365 has a host of improvements over Icewarp, including:
- A modern web interface that has cross browser compatibility
- 25GB of storage for your email
- Support for mobile devices
- Calendaring, with the ability to share your calendar
This Sunday, August 11, we will be cutover to Office 365, such that all new email will go there instead of Icewarp. Old email on Icewarp has been getting migrated to Office 365 throughout the last several weeks and there will be a final migration post-cutover.
You can access your Office 365 mailbox at the following URL: https://outlook.com/canton.edu . We will also be adding a Canton URL that will take you there. When you click on the link, you will first be taken to our local federated login server (fs.canton.edu).
Your login will be your NetID, the new name for what has been generically called your “network account” or “computer username”.
