Canadian Rock Musicians to Invade SUNY Canton, April 20
SUNY Canton is scheduled to be invaded by Canadian bands The Failyears and Panoutnow in an event for students from all four Associated Colleges of St. Lawrence Valley.
The Canadian Invasion Tour is scheduled to make a stop at SUNY Canton beginning at 9:30 p.m. April 20 in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center Intramural Gym. There will also be free food and other activities during the invasion. The Invasion Tour is free and open to the public.
“We’ve actually hosted, or been invaded by, Panoutnow in the past,” said SUNY Canton Director of Student Activities Scott Quinell. “Both bands will surely rock the Campus Center. We are really looking forward to be being invaded again this year.”
The Failyears are a rock trio from St. Catherine’s, Ontario, who are gaining a steady following of fans through their live performances. The band describes themselves as “conjuring visions of Nirvana being possessed by the spirit of David Bowie in a Tim Burton movie.”
Panoutnow is a four piece band from Toronto featuring both male and female vocalists performing their recombinant rock style. Their music is similar to that of Evanescence, A Perfect Circle, and Queens of The Stone Age.
Samples of music from both bands can be heard on www.panoutnow.com.
