Why Wait? Instant Admissions at SUNY Canton

It’s not too late to begin a hands-on education at SUNY Canton this Fall.

SUNY Canton’s admissions counselors are now conducting instant admissions, enabling prospective students who have not yet applied to begin college this fall.

“Instant admission sessions eliminate the processing time and waiting,” said Director of Admissions Jonathan D. Kent. “With the proper forms, we are able to make a decision within minutes of reviewing an application.”

Instant admissions are underway and will run through the first day of classes on Tuesday, August 28, at SUNY Canton.

For prospective students to fully complete the admission process, they should bring an official high school transcript or official GED test scores, a check or money order for their $40 application fee, and a completed application. If students have previously attended college, they should also bring official transcripts.

SUNY Canton financial aid counselors are also available to help students and their parents and can explain deferred tuition payment options. Potential students applying for financial aid should bring with them a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, which can be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Appointments are not necessary, but strongly recommended to avoid wait time. Call 315-386-7123/ 800-388-7123 to schedule an appointment. The Admissions Office is located in French Hall and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Extended hours are available by appointment.
