Law Enforcement Career Day at SUNY Canton, Oct. 3

The first SUNY Canton Law Enforcement Career Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center Intramural Gym.

The event was designed by the Office of Career Services in conjunction with the University Police Department. The event is free and open to the public. SUNY Canton will also be holding its annual Fall Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 16.

“The Law Enforcement Career Day is designed to connect law enforcement professionals with students and community members interested in careers in criminal justice,” said SUNY Canton Director of Career Services David Norenberg.

Area law enforcement professionals will be distributing applications for the Nov. 17 civil service examination. Representatives from SUNY Canton University Police, David Sullivan/St. Lawrence County Law Enforcement Academy, Park Police, Environmental Conservation Police, Forest Rangers, State Troopers, Ogdensburg City Police, Vermont State Police, and sheriff’s departments from several counties will be recruiting at the event.
