Students and Job Seekers Invited to Career Fair at SUNY Canton
Area high school students and North Country job seekers are invited to attend SUNY Canton’s Career Fair 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center Intramural Gym.
Over 30 companies will be recruiting this year, according to Director of Career Services David Norenberg. Many of the businesses recruit yearly, including highly successful alumni-run companies.
“The fair can be the first face-to-face interview for job seekers,” Norenberg said. “It all can serve as an excellent opportunity for current and future students to speak with professionals in their field of interest. We’ve extended an invitation to area high school students to show the value of a SUNY Canton education and to highlight how companies specifically seek our graduates.”
At least three health care organizations will be recruiting at the fair, looking to fill the ever-growing need for qualified health professionals. “Our students graduate with the skills needed to step into employment in a variety settings,” Norenberg pointed out.
