SUNY Canton Students Inducted into Golden Key Honour Society

The Golden Key International Honour Society recently inducted SUNY Canton’s top four-year students.

“I congratulate each of our Golden Key Honor Society students for their success and commitment to their SUNY Canton Education,” said SUNY Canton President Joseph L. Kennedy. “I further encourage them to take the knowledge that they have acquired here and use it to create a plan to fulfill their dreams.”

The top 15 percent of third and fourth-year students in each of the College’s bachelor’s degree programs were invited to join the Honour Society during SUNY Canton’s inaugural induction ceremony.

Among the students inducted were:

  • Katelyn D. Anthony, a Criminal Investigation major from Spencerport, N.Y. Anthony is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Ryan P. Barry, an Alternative and Renewable Energy Systems major from Canton, N.Y. Barry is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Adam M. Benedict, a Legal Studies major from Norfolk, N.Y. Benedict is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.
  • Rebecca R. Blackmer, a Finance major from Colton, N.Y. Blackmer is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Jamie L. Blauvelt, a Criminal Investigation major from Berkshire, N.Y. Blauvelt is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.
  • Dawn M. Bogdan, a Management major from Cortland, N.Y. Bogdan is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Daniel P. Bovay, an Alternative and Renewable Energy Systems major from Massena, N.Y. Bovay is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Joshua T. Burgert, a Criminal Investigation major from Middlesex, N.Y. Burgert is scheduled to graduate in May 2011.
  • Kenneth A. Burwell, a four-year Nursing major from Gouverneur, N.Y. Burwell is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.
  • Emily E. Bush, a Sports Management major from Ogdensburg, N.Y. Bush is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.
  • Erick Cox, an Energy Management major from Buffalo, N.Y. Cox is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.
  • Brianna L. Daniels, a Finance major from Philadelphia, N.Y. Daniels is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.

  • Jenean A. Love, a Legal Studies major from Groveland, N.Y. Love is scheduled to graduate in May 2012.

Golden Key International Honour Society was founded in 1977. There are approximately 375 chapters worldwide. In New York, there are Golden Key Chapters at Cornell University, Rochester Institute of Technology, the University at Buffalo, United States Military Academy at West Point, Columbia University, among many other State University of New York and private colleges.
