Area Students Learn Career Options for Women in Engineering

Faculty members held activities to demonstrate the hands-on aspects of careers that start with an education in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.

Madelyn L. Lawrence, an eighth grader from Clifton Fine Central School tests water samples from the Grasse River as part of SUNY Canton’s Women in Engineering Day. Groups of students were given water samples and taught how to purify them during a demonstration in the College’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Technology program.
