Sign up for New York Alert through UCanWeb

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

SUNY Canton has reopened enrollment in the New York Alert emergency notification system for the Fall 2010 semester.

The NY-Alert system allows College officials to rapidly send out notifications to students, faculty, and staff through phone calls, email, and text message. If there is an emergency on campus, the College will be using this system as a way to relay potentially life-saving information and instructions.

The College will conduct a test of the system later in the semester.

The NY Alert program is completely voluntary for students, faculty, and staff. Members who want to receive the alert messages and instructions can sign up via SUNY Canton’s UCanWeb application.

Go there now by clicking http://banweb.canton.edu. You will be prompted to enroll, decline, or edit contact information upon the first log in. For more details and precise instructions on how to use the registration form in UCanWeb, please visit: http://www.canton.edu/nyalert/.

The State University of New York and SUNY Canton value your privacy. Your information is confidential within the NY-Alert System. The system is completely voluntary but strongly encouraged. Registrants can change their enrollment status at any time by logging into UCanWeb. SUNY Canton joined the SUNY NY-Alert System as part of the statewide emergency notification initiative.
