NY Alert

SUNY Canton will be using SUNY NY- Alert to inform the campus community for emergency situations. This system enables college officials to send out critical emergency information through email, phone, and text messaging. SUNY NY-Alert is a completely voluntary system, and all information will not be used except in the case of an actual emergency.

For more information, visit: https://www.suny.edu/emergencyContact/Q-A.cfm?ph=NO

Students, faculty, and staff can sign up by logging in to UCanWeb. Everyone using UCanWeb will be asked to decide whether or not to get alerts when they login during the Spring 2008 semester.

If you have never logged in to UCanWeb, please send a request to the Help Desk at 7448 or email helpdesk@canton.edu.

The SUNY NY-Alert system will be used for safety situations, emergencies, or concerns such as:

  • fire, bomb threats, or dangerous situations
