SUNY Canton Admissions Expands Hours
and Offers Instant Admit
The SUNY Canton Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid will offer expanded hours and instant admissions in December to accommodate working individuals and prospective students.
Counselors will be on hand to discuss admissions and financial aid options for the Spring 2006 semester. The Instant Admission process provides applicants an enrollment decision in minutes.
The Office of Admissions will be open until 7 p.m. on Dec. 14, and Dec. 21. Office hours are normally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. There's still time to apply for the Spring 2006 semester, which begins on Monday Jan. 23, 2006. Appointments are required for admissions consultations. Call 315/386-7123 during regular business hours, to schedule an appointment.
"We realize that it can be difficult to schedule an appointment during the work day," said Betsy Libby, SUNY Canton's Assistant Director of Admissions. "The SUNY Canton Office of Admissions and Financial Aid Office are both open to help prospective students who can't make it here during business hours."
SUNY Canton will be marking its 100-year anniversary next year and has already begun celebrating with its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. The college is transitioning from a two-year institution to a four-year college. In addition to 25 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers eight four-year degrees with plans to double that number during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers a Masters of Business Administration in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica.
