SUNY Canton Turning 100

PREPARING FOR 2006- Stanley P. Robert, Physical Plant General Mechanic prepares for 2006 and the SUNY Canton Centennial Celebration by hanging flags with the College's centennial logo from lampposts on campus. Robert tossed the older banners from his elevated position to Randall W. Teele, also from the Physical Plant. A number of other festive anniversary signs and placards are beginning to appear all over campus in celebration.
SUNY Canton will be marking its 100-year anniversary in 2006 and has already begun celebrating with its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. The college is transitioning
from a two-year to a four-year college. In addition to 25 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers eight four-year degrees with plans to double that number during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers a Masters of Business Administration in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica. The College has also recently embarked upon articulation agreements with Lomonosov Moscow State University and Osaka College of Foreign languages and International Business in Japan, allowing international scholars the option to obtain a SUNY Canton degree locally, or abroad.
