Small logo SUNY Canton President Joseph L. Kennedy has unveiled the SUNY Canton logo marking the 100-year anniversary of the college. The Centennial logo was revealed to SUNY Canton faculty and staff at a holiday celebration on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 14.

"We're proud of our heritage and looking forward to celebrating our centennial in 2006," said Kennedy. "We have some exciting events and activities planned for next year and this logo will become the symbol for those occasions as well as our 100 years of progress."

The logo will also be the emblem of the upcoming SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign, which is scheduled to begin in May 2006, according to Vice President David M. Gerlach. The logo, designed by Joanne Thornhill, Director of Publications, will be proudly displayed from the lampposts around the campus, according to Michael J. Perry, Chair of the Centennial Celebration Committee and Executive Director of the College Association. It will also be featured on publications, the web site, brochures, posters, signs and much more.

SUNY Canton will be marking its 100-year anniversary next year and has already begun celebrating with its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. The college is transitioning from a two-year institution to a four-year college. In addition to 25 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers eight four-year degrees with plans to double that number during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers a Masters of Business Administration in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica.
