Spaces Available for Fall EMT Training Courses at SUNY Canton


Small logo A limited number of spaces are still available in SUNY Canton's Fall Semester Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training courses.

Upcoming training sessions include:

  • Semester-long EMT Basic and EMT Basic Refresher courses will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 21, in Nevaldine Technology Center North room 102. The courses, taught by Instructor Don Thompson, will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays with four Saturday sessions.
  • A second semester-long EMT Basic course will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 28 at Ogdensburg Free Academy. The Ogdensburg-based EMT training, taught by Instructor Bob Bromley, will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays with five Saturday sessions.
  • An EMT Critical Care I course and an Intermediate EMT Refresher course will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 5 in Nevaldine Technology Center North room 102. Instructor June Wood will be leading the Tuesday and Thursday classes.

All courses end December 14.

SUNY Canton is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year and is in the midst of its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. In addition to 23 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers 12 four-year degrees with plans to announce several other new programs during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers three unique master's degrees in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica. The college also recently added a four-year Emergency and Disaster Management degree.
