Fall into Fun at SUNY Canton's
Fall Festival and Family Weekend
A 24-hour relay to benefit the Red Cross is slated to join the SUNY Canton Auto Club Cruise-In automobile exhibition, the annual Craft Show, and many other activities during SUNY Canton's Centennial Fall Festival and Parent's weekend on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, September 29 at the Canton Village Park, runners from SUNY Canton will be passing the baton and requesting donations to benefit the American Red Cross. This event follows in the footsteps of last years "Relay for Relief," which generated over $5,800 to aid the Red Cross's Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
"A number of students asked me if we could hold another fund raising relay," said event organizer and Residence Hall Director Christopher Marquart. "I guess you could say the relay is back by popular demand. I am amazed at the number of students from on-campus and from our Greek organizations that have volunteered to run through the night for such a worthy cause."
