SUNY Canton Education Center Hosts
Security Guard Training
Security
guard training classes will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept.
23, at SUNY Canton’s Education Center at the St. Lawrence
Centre Mall, Massena.
Both the "Pre-Assignment" course and the eight-hour "Annual Update" course, which are approved by the Bureau for Municipal Police and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pre-registration by September 16 is required. The fee for either course is $79, which includes the required textbooks. SUNY Canton is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year and is in the midst of its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. In addition to 22 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers 12 four-year degrees with plans to announce several other new programs during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers three unique master's degrees in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica. The college is known for its signature four-year Criminal Investigation degree, and has recently added a Law Enforcement Leadership and Management Program.
