"Kathy is often the friendly voice that potential students, faculty, staff, and representatives from other colleges first hear when they call Dean Jonathan Gueverra's office," said College Council Chair Wesley L. Stitt. "For more than 20 years, Kathy has provided the experience, knowledge, and dedication needed to help the School of Business and Public Service run smoothly."

Limoges is a 1980 alumna of SUNY Canton, who began working for the college shortly after she graduated. Her colleagues pointed out her fortitude and stamina to complete complex projects as some of her finest qualities.

"She interacts easily, efficiently, and confidently with faculty, students, and parents," said School of Liberal Studies and Support Services Secretary Patti Smith. "College employees and students enjoy Kathy's quick sense of humor and you can always count on Kathy to complete a project even when she's given near-impossible deadlines."

Upon receiving the award Limoges said, "Working with the Dean, faculty, and students is very enjoyable, interesting, and sometimes exhausting. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have learned so much over the years. It is very fulfilling to have helped so many students in their academic careers at SUNY Canton."

Kathy and her husband, Greg, have three children: Danielle, who recently graduated from SUNY Canton with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences: General Studies; Jessica who will be starting SUNY Canton's Early Childhood program this Fall; and Zachery, who will be entering ninth grade at Heuvelton Central School this fall. "Zachery may be too young to attend SUNY Canton, but we have our eyes on him," noted Stitt.

SUNY Canton is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year and is in the midst of its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. In addition to 26 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers 10 four-year degrees with plans to announce several other new programs during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers three unique master's degrees in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica. The College has recently embarked upon articulation agreements with Lomonosov Moscow State University and Osaka College of Foreign Languages and International Business in Japan, allowing international scholars the ability to obtain a SUNY Canton degree locally or abroad.
