SUNY Canton Offers Free Parking for Veterans
SUNY Canton University Police Chief William F. Mason recently announced that honorably discharged veterans enrolled at the college this fall will be exempt from parking and vehicle registration fees.
"Providing this exemption to our student veterans is a small token of our appreciation of their service to our great country," said Mason. "I know of a number of veterans in courses that will benefit from this exemption as they strive to begin or complete their higher education."
In order to be eligible, veterans will need to submit a DD214 form to the student Service Center, located in French Hall.
SUNY Canton is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year and is in the midst of its highly successful SUNY Canton Centennial Campaign: Cultivating the Minds of Tomorrow. In addition to 22 associate degree programs, SUNY Canton currently offers 12 four-year degrees with plans to announce several other new programs during the next academic year. SUNY Canton also offers three unique master's degrees in conjunction with SUNYIT, Utica. Applications for admission will be accepted until the first day of classes on August 28.
