The Student Government Association is the governance voice of the students and provides a means of cooperation and unity among the students, faculty and administration.
The SGA is divided into three branches, the executive, legislative and judicial. The executive power is vested in a president, vice president, director of budget, secretary and CUB president. The Senate, the legislative branch, is made up of student representatives from each club/organization or appointed by the SGA president. The Judicial Board is responsible for interpreting the constitution and for hearing cases in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct

·Changing 1/3 policy for conferences. For conferences the school will cover hotel, registration fee, and one meal if it involves a key note speaker. In order to get the money for a conference you must come back from the conference with a presentation about what you learned to present to senate. Will be voted on at next meeting.

·Last semester he attended Senate and proposed a new way to help students do better in classes and school in general. Criminal Justice will have a new set up to their program in the fall to test and see how this program works.

oOne senator suggested instead of having vans have small buses so more people can fit in them and people won’t be piling in on top of each other.

·There will be a boot camp like program for those students who are not the best high school students to make sure they will be able to succeed in college classes.
·Kevin brought up trying to find a place for student to store their things while home over the summer. President Kennedy said he will look into it.

·SUNY Student Assembly is April 16-18 and the list of people going on the trip has not been set in stone yet.
·The monthly executive meetings between all the Student Government Executives from Canton, Potsdam, SLU, and Clarkson are underway. At the first meeting they discussed the new transportation system that will go between all campuses and how to merge activities between all the campuses. The new transportation system is estimated to cost around $6000 for the year to run Friday-Sunday only.
