Tom Dempsey

  • Mr. Dempsey was also a faculty member and program director at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia
  • Retired police officer from southern California. Mr. Dempsey has extensive experience internationally both in training police and presenting at conferences
  • Worked in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, India and Israel
  • Published two books and a chapter in another. He also has published numerous articles nationally and internationally

William Fassinger

  • William has 20 years of law enforcement experience with the United States Army Military Police Corps and has performed law enforcement duties in the United States, Europe, Hawaii, Panama, Somalia, and Haiti
  • During his career he has performed duties including Physical Security, Patrol, Liaison, Military Police Investigations, Internal Affairs Investigations, Patrol Supervisor, Desk Sergeant, Duty Officer, Military Police Training Supervisor and culminated his career as a First Sergeant of a 150 member Military Police Company

Brian Harte

  • Former Probation Administrator in the state of Texas
  • Former Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) administrator
  • Seven year's recent professional experience as a Juvenile Probation Officer
  • Six year's experience as a juvenile justice trainer
  • Over eight years experience teaching criminal justice students at both the college and university level
  • Deeply committed to facilitating a strong cooperative working relationship among both practitioners and academics. To this end, Brian has published articles in several professional journals including: Texas Probation, Executive Exchange, Journal of Corrections, and Project Spotlight News in Brief – Sam Houston State University.
