Dental Hygiene - B. Tech

"This online program allows Dental hygienists to continue as working professionals and also earn a bachelor's degree." – SUNY Canton President Joseph L. Kennedy

The Dental Hygiene bachelor's degree opens doors to opportunities in areas such as: administration, education, pharmaceutical sales, marketing, management, research, public health, and many others.

The four-year Dental Hygiene degree builds upon the college's highly successful two-year Dental Hygiene associate degree program.

Future SUNY Canton students, recent graduates, and transfer students can apply for admission into the four-year degree immediately. The final two years of the bachelor's program are offered exclusively online.

Dental hygiene is a rewarding and flexible career. It is a progressive profession that allows those who are balancing a family and a career the luxury of choosing either part-time or full-time employment. The average annual salary for a full-time hygienist nationwide is $56,700; with an average annual salary of $48,000 to $52,000 in the Syracuse and Utica areas. The addition of a bachelor's degree will assist in creating even more opportunities.
