Text Box: At Last, Full Staffed Please join us in a warm Upward Bound welcome to Kristen Martin and Kathryn (Katie) Smith. Kristen began with Upward Bound on Monday, March 14th. Kristen joined our staff after working for 18 months with St. Lawrence Valley Renewal House in Canton, NY. Prior to working with Renewal House, Kristen attained professional experience at United Nursing Home in Canton in the field of Social Work. Kristen is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, majoring in Sociology with a minor in History. She has begun working with students in Canton, Heuvelton, Gouverneur, Harrisville, and Potsdam School Districts. Katie Smith will begin with our program on Monday, March 28th. Katie joins our staff following employment as a Professional Writing Tutor and Expository Writing Instructor at the SUNY Canton Campus. Katie also was employed as a Tutor/Counselor last summer with our very own Upward Bound Program. Katie is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She is currently finishing her graduate work at SUNY Potsdam in Discourse Studies. Katie will be working in Parishville, Clifton-Fine, Norwood-Norfolk, Massena, and Madrid-Waddington High Schools.
