Description of Duties

The Mathematics Department of the Canino School of Engineering Technology seeks qualified candidates for Mathematics Lecturer.



The successful candidate can expect to teach online and face-to-face classes in a 5-course load per semester.  There is no scholarship expectation.  Participation in faculty governance, department, university, professional, and public service are encouraged. Faculty members should have good verbal and written communication skills and are encouraged to innovate.  The ability to teach a diverse student population is an additional benefit.


Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Mathematics or related degree such as math education, with an intense concentration in applied mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications: The candidate should demonstrate teaching experience for a significant number of years at all levels of mathematics from developmental up to the Calculus sequence. Online teaching experience encouraged.


Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
