
Sydney Valiquette
Sydney Valiquette is a senior Forensic Criminology major and Applied Psychology minor from London, Ont., who has been dedicated to helping her peers succeed.
As a four-year mentor in the Academic Recovery program and former EOP tutor, Sydney said she’s proud to be part of the College’s supportive academic environment.
“It’s rewarding to watch students reach their full potential and help guide them to success.”
She is also a member of the hockey team and has volunteered for Special Olympics events and the “Help Sami Kick Cancer” fundraisers.
Her favorite professors are Dr. Johnston and Dr. Wolfe, who she said have made attending SUNY Canton a positive experience.
“Both are passionate about what they do, which makes their classes interesting and enjoyable.”
Sydney believes it’s easy to build meaningful relationships with professors and fellow students, creating a more personal and engaging learning experience.
“There truly is no place like SUNY Canton, and I am incredibly grateful for the friendships, opportunities, and experiences I have gained here.”
