Gillian Fable
Gillian Fable of Brooklyn chose SUNY Canton for its small campus environment and strong sense of community. She is a senior Management major with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Her SUNY Canton journey began when she was looking for a fresh start away from home and a place to grow personally and professionally. “I wanted to attend a school with a small, accessible campus where I could meet new people and build close connections,” she said. “Everyone on campus is there to help students and wants everyone to succeed.”
Gillian’s favorite class was Statistics with Senior Lecturer Kevin McAdoo. “He made learning understandable and enjoyable,” she said.
She is currently an intern for Dean Dr. Kenneth Rhee, where she manages social media and creates content for the School of Business and Liberal Arts. “It has been an outstanding opportunity and helped me understand the career path I want to pursue,” she said.
She is also a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions and the Student Government Association Budget Director.
“The biggest thing I have learned since coming to SUNY Canton is that you have to step out of your comfort zone to grow and go far.”
After graduation in May 2027, she plans to pursue an MBA online while working closer to home.
