Contractors and others wishing to offer Renewable Energy Alternatives, to homeowners and small businesses, will be able to get their training right here in the North Country. Watch this site for training starting Spring and Summer 2012.

If your company or business has a need for customized technical training in the areas of energy, home contracting, construction, manufacturing, etc. please contact the CREST Program Coordinator to discuss specifications and costs.

Building Science Training Schedule 2012

Schedule your BPI exam(s) with SUNY Canton a BPI Affiliate.

Once you start the certification process, you have one year to complete it before you will be required to start over as a new candidate.

Costs

  • Building Analyst - $1045.00 (36 hrs of training)
  • Envelope Specialist - $1125.00 (30 hrs of training)
  • Heating Professional - $1250.00 (35 hrs of training)
  • Cooling Professional - $925.00 (16 hrs of training)

To be certified the candidates must take and pass a written test and a field test for each individual area of specialty.

Written test $200.00 - Field test $350.00

Candidates failing to successfully complete an examination may retake the exam a 2nd & 3rd time within one year with an additional test fee.

When enough interest is available in a specific area within our training region we will organize and present a class in the local area, such as Malone, Plattsburgh, Tupper Lake, Watertown, etc.

To reduce student travel and expense, we may be able to provide classroom sessions over internet video. Contact Art Garno Program Coordinator for more information.
