Step 2: Submit your Application Package to the Admissions Office

- Submit your application online and $50 USD application fee
- If you have taken any college courses after secondary school, apply as a transfer; otherwise indicate freshman
- Submit your high school transcripts, translated to English where applicable
- Submit your college transcripts, if any, translated to English and evaluated by a Credential Evaluation Service, such as World Education Services. For other evaluation services, visit NACES.
- Submit an Autobiographical Essay

- Send score report of SAT (school code 2523) or ACT (school code 2912) exam (if available)
If your first language is not English:
- Submit the English Proficiency Form

- Submit demonstration of English proficiency in one of these five ways:
- TOEFL (school code 7174)
- 61 internet-based
- 500 paper-based
- 173 computer-based
- IELTS
- 6.0 minimum
- 5.5 minimum in each sub-section
- SAT (school code 2523)
- 420 on Critical Reading Score
- ACT (school code 2912)
- 17 minimum on both Reading and English sections
- College Level English Course
- Must receive "C" grade or better
- ELS Program
- Completion of Level 109 for Associate Degree
- Completion of Level 112 for Bachelor's Degree
- TOEFL (school code 7174)
International Application Priority Deadlines:
July 15 for Fall
December 15 for Spring
Step 3: Upon or Prior to Admission
- Submit I-20 documentation to the International Programs Office

Additional Information
- International students who have an overall average equivalent to the United States standard grade point average of 80 (2.75 on a 4.0 U.S. scale) or higher and have submitted all application materials may be eligible for a scholarship to attend SUNY Canton
