Winterterm Registration & Course Info

Registration Opens: November 5 @ 8:00 am EST

Registration Closes: December 20 @ 3:00 pm EST

Start Date: December 19 - 8 am EST
End Date: January 17 - Midnight

Note: Maximum 7 credit hours

Course changes made after December 20th will be assessed a $20 course change fee. If payment is not made at time of change, the $20 fee will be added to the student bill. Note that this charge, if not paid, will prevent the release of transcripts.



Key Dates

  • Thursday, December 20th at 3:00 pm - Last day for Payment or Winter Financial Aid processed
  • Thursday, December 20th at 11:59 PM EST - Last day to drop with full refund
  • Wednesday, December 26th 11:59 PM EST - Last day to withdraw with partial (50%) refund
  • Thursday, December 27th - Full liability begins - NO REFUNDS
  • Friday, January 12th at 4:00 pm - Last Day to Withdraw from a winter course
    Notification to withdraw must be received in writing, either in person or via SUNY Canton email. Include your name, SUNY Canton ID# and clearly state your intentions. There will be a $20 course change fee added for all withdrawals/ additions to classes after Thursday, December 20th.
