The Student Support Services (SSS) Program is a federally-funded TRiO grant program. Each year over 200 students, who meet the eligibility criteria, are selected. They are invited to participate and receive special services in tutoring and academic counseling.
All Freshmen TRiO SSS students are required to take Freshman Seminar (BASK 060). This is a 15 week, 1 credit hour course that provides freshmen with study skills, information and resources to enhance collegiate success. Non-freshmen TRIO SSS students are exempt from this class.
In addition, the TRiO SSS Program offers the opportunity to belong to CHI ALPHA EPSILON, a national honor society which includes SSS students who meet developmental and academic standards.
To determine your eligibility status in the TRiO SSS Program, print out and return the attached letter and/or email a staff member listed below. You have nothing to lose but a bad grade!
