Southworth Library Learning Commons Tutoring Center

The Southworth Library Learning Commons Tutoring Center offers free academic tutoring in a variety of subjects.  Located in the lower level of the Southworth Library Learning Commons, the Tutoring Center offers a range of assistance to all students. Our goal is to foster motivation, confidence and independence in academic pursuits for all students.

Tutoring Center Services include;

  • Professional and Peer Tutoring
  • Study Skills Assistance
  • Time Management Skills Development
  • Academic Resources

All of the services are FREE to all SUNY Canton students.

 

Learning Labs

Learning Labs offer free tutoring in a variety of topics.  Professional and Peer tutors are available on a walk-in basis.  The Labs offer an environment of learning where students can request assistance and access resources for completing their assignments.

If you are looking for assistance in a subject not covered by one of the Labs listed, please check out our General Studies Lab. This Lab offers assistance in courses not covered by any of the curriculum labs.

 


 

Academic Assistance

In addition to tutoring, the staff of the Tutoring Center offers students skills to improve study habits, identify individual learning styles and increase time management skills.
