Financial Aid - Perkins Loan
Perkins Loan records are electronically maintained by the Student Service Center while the student is in attendance. When a student graduates, drops below six credit hours of enrollment, or otherwise ceases to be enrolled, an electronic exit file is submitted to the SUNY Student Loan Service Center (SLSC). SLSC will handle post-enrollment servicing. The Financial Aid Office will send a loan disclosure with information regarding the loan and a reminder of the online exit interview process. At this time, an explanation is given of interest rates, grace period, accelerated payments, etc. Should a student desire a loan repayment deferment, the necessary information will be explained during the online exit interview or can be obtained from the Student Service Center.
