HOUSE FOR SALE - Steven Bullock, a SUNY Canton Construction Technology Management student from Edwards takes measurements amidst the rafters of this year's project home.

“This is a great example of the hands-on approach we take toward educating our students,” said Dean of Canino School of Engineering David Wells. “This will be a beautiful home and the workmanship will be thoroughly inspected and approved. It will be a source of pride for our students and professors.”

The total contract price of the 23 foot 8 inch by 48 foot house will be below $40,000. It will be constructed and ready for delivery by June 1. It features an asphalt shingled roof and vinyl siding, highly efficient insulation, and will be 90 percent wired (and inspected) with electrical subpanels installed.

“Throughout the history of our college, many of our most successful graduates and eventual business owners have come from programs such as construction, engineering, and HVAC,” Wells said. “That’s because they leave here with the real world experience and knowledge to excel in their fields.”

Individuals interested in viewing the home should call 386-7411 for an appointment. In addition to the three bedrooms, the home will include a kitchen/dining room area, living room and a one bathroom.  A pdf file of theHouse Floorplans is available.
