Meet the Faculty
Deborah S. Molnar, PT, DPT, MSEd

Deborah graduated from SUNY at Buffalo in 1991 with a BS degree in Physical Therapy. In 2001 she completed a Masters in Education degree from SUNY Potsdam and in January 2009 completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University. Her clinical experience has been primarily in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and home health care. Deborah has been with the PTA program at Canton since its inception in 1996. She initially served as the ACCE prior to becoming Program Director in 2002. She has served as an item writer for the PTA licensing exam, has been a member of the Item Bank Review committee for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, and currently serves as an Item Writer Coordinator. Deborah is the primary advisor to all PTA students. She teaches Intro to Physical Therapy, Musculoskeletal Pathologies, Cardiopulmonary and Integumentary Pathologies, Advanced Physical Therapy Modalities, and PTA Seminar II.

Jennifer S. McDonald, PT, DPT, MS

Jennifer graduated from the University of Vermont in 1988 with a BS in Physical Therapy. She received an MS in Basic Science from Clarkson University in 2003, and her DPT from Simmons College in 2006. She also holds a certificate in Women's Health from Texas Women's University.
Jennifer has over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist and continues clinical practice in the area of Women’s Health. She is the coordinator of the clinical education component of the PTA program and also teaches Fundamental PT Skills and Modalities, Kinesiology, Musculoskeletal Assessment, PTA Seminar 1, and Neuromuscular Pathologies. She has been an APTA Credentialed Clinical Trainer since 2000 and Advanced Clinical Trainer since 2008. In 2012, she became an Item Writer for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy PTA licensing exam.
